Different places, different partners, same practice.
Over the last decade I've led and contributed to projects across three arenas of practice: community stewardship, leadership and capacity building, and facilitation and strategic planning. The arenas are distinct but they share a common approach, which is that the people closest to a place or a challenge are the ones who know how to steward it, and the work is to build the conditions that let that leadership emerge.

Community Stewardship
Supporting places, tribal nations, and destination organizations in stewarding what they love. Featured work includes buffalo rematriation with the National Wildlife Federation, tourism governance with the Oglala and Rosebud Sioux Tribes, sustainable destination management in Jackson Hole, and nature reserve activation in AlUla, Saudi Arabia.
Leadership and Capacity Building
Building the people who build the future. Featured work includes founding and leading CoalitionWILD, mentoring emerging leaders through the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation, and developing global curricula for WWF-UK's Path of the Changemaker course.
Facilitation and Strategic Planning
Convening the right people around the right questions. Featured work includes strategic planning for Eastern Shoshone Victim Services, participatory tourism governance in South Dakota, and ongoing board and organizational facilitation across the sector.
